I put the challenge out last night that no-one was to get up for the day until after sunrise at 6.17 am. Well I was up at 5.30 am for a toilet visit and there were 2 riders up already. We ended up at least 6 riders up before the deadline and the rest were up right on the challenge time. A gold coin donation was placed in the fund raising tin by all those caught out of their tents before allocated time. Sorry Annie & Woody; I tried.
Beautiful day for riding and the scenery is real nice. Woody arrived at morning tea after everyone had left and he really can't work out what the rush is as it is soooo nice riding. Fruit cake provided by Robbo & Lew and Woody is pleased that so much has been left for him. Jan & Annie spotted some kangaroos this morning and I'm not sure what anyone else has seen because they had all either left before we arrived for morning tea or they were too busy trying to work out where they were going in Roma.
Fliss has a broken spoke and she has borrowed Alf's spare bike for the ride into town. They had to climb the Staircase Range today and Woody is still looking for it as it turned out to be a slight incline.
Everyone was in to camp before lunch and settled within the hour. Everyone went shopping again and the boys worked together to fix Fliss's spoke. Yesterday I asked the question, "How many riders required to move a tent?" Answer: 10, and today's question is "How many males required to change a spoke?" Answer: 7.
Nice caravan park with a very nice camp kitchen. The main thing it is missing is a hot plate but of course we have the 2 burner with the gas. Nice swimming pool but not sure if it is quite hot enough yet.
